At our outdoor only locations, kids will spend their full day outside with the exception of using the restroom. Outdoor shade, drinking water and hand washing stations will be available as needed based on the location.

Due to COVID-19 safety concerns, EDMO will not be offering a purchased lunch option for Summer 2021. Campers will need to bring their own NUT-FREE lunch and snacks to camp each day.
For the safety of our campers, all EDMO camp locations have a strict No Nuts Allowed policy. Please do not bring any products that contain: cashews, almonds, brazil nuts, pine nuts, walnuts, the "Mother of All Nut Allergies”—the peanut or any other nuts (Nutella contains nuts, too). We understand that this might be an inconvenience for your family but we have campers with severe, life-threatening allergies and we want to make sure all of our campers are safe. Each day at check-in, staff will check that every camper has brought lunch and snacks from home that there are no nuts. If it is discovered that there are nuts in your child's lunch or snacks, you will be asked to take that food item with you and return with another food for your child to eat, if necessary.
To ensure the safety of everyone in the EDMO community, we will be following all local and state COVID-19 policies as they evolve. Given current restrictions, all EDMO groups will have a maximum of 12 campers and 2 instructors. Our safety measures include health monitoring, diligent cleaning, masks, and social distancing. Read the full list of protocols here, which we will adjust as circumstances require.
All EDMO purchase fees, for either in-person or online programs, are nonrefundable.* However, if you decide to cancel your child’s participation in any EDMO Class, Camp or Coaching/Tutoring session, any time up to 24 hours before the start of that program, you will receive 100% credit to use on any EDMO program.
If EDMO needs to close a stable group because of a COVID-19 exposure or because the state or county mandates a closure, families will have the option to:
a) Continue camp online
b) Transfer to a session later in the summer
c) Receive a prorated credit based on the remaining days in their session
d) Receive a prorated refund based on the remaining days in your session
*If you have registered for one of our TBD summer on-site Camp EDMO locations and we are unable to secure a location within that outlined area, a refund exception will be made.
For Summer 2021, EDMO will be offering on-Site Camps for kids age 4 to those entering 5th Grade with select locations serving 6th-8th Graders.
Please send your kid to camp each day with the following items:
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 regulations dictating cohort size, we will be unable to hold a Leader-in-Training program this summer. Check back in January 2022 for an update on the Leader-in-Training program.
Due to COVID-19 safety concerns, EDMO will not be offering a lunch option for purchase in summer 2021. Kids will need to bring their own NUT-FREE lunch and snacks to all in-person programs.
Due to local and state COVID-19 requirements, EDMO will not be offering the standard version of Extended Care this summer. Instead, we will be including a “flex pick-up time” at every on-site camp location.
This means that although the camp day is over at 2:30pm (for PK-K kids) and 3:00pm (for 1st-5th grade kids), kids can be picked up anytime within a 2 hour window of camp ending. Your kid(s) will remain with the same staff members during this flex pick-up window and there is no extra charge!
Due to COVID-19 regulations, and for the safety of our staff and kids at camp, we will not be able to host meet & greets or camp tours. You will get to meet and chat with the staff working with your kid during dropoff and pickup each day.
EDMO will be complying with all county and state COVID-19 restrictions. Each county has their own restrictions that dictate how many weeks a kid must attend summer programs, and we will be following each county’s guidelines. Please see the specific location pages for more information.
Registration will close for on-site camps the Sunday night before the start of the camp.
If you have a friend or family member you would like to have in the same group as your kid, please list their first and last names in the “Are you attending with a friend?” section during the registration process. We will do our best to honor all buddy requests, but it may not be possible if they are in different grades, signed up for different themes, or if we’ve exceeded the group capacity for the camp.
You can also call our team at 415-282-6673 or email info@campedmo.org and we can help you make any changes you need.
Anyone who will be picking up your kid from camp will need to be on their Pickup Authorization list that you complete during the registration process. If you would like to add someone to your kid’s Pickup Authorization list after registering, please see the above section on how to update your account information. Or email us at info@campedmo.org. Anyone picking up a child will need to provide a photo ID every day to confirm they are authorized to pick up your kid.
If your kid gets an unfortunate bump, scrape, or skinned knee, you will receive a note about the incident at pickup. In the event of any head injury or serious bodily injury, you or your emergency contacts will receive a call within 15 minutes of the injury, and a full written Incident Report will be provided to you within 48 hours.
We will work with you to develop an action plan to help support your kid at camp, including coming to agreements of behavior. Unfortunately, if your kid repeatedly detracts from the camp experience of other children and staff, or compromises the safety of others, we may ask you to pick your kid up from camp.
In order to ensure the safety of all the kids in our camps, all of our camp sites are designated nut-free. Please DO NOT BRING ANY NUT PRODUCTS (trail mix, peanut butter, granola bars, Nutella, etc.). We apologize for any inconvenience, but this policy ensures the safety of our kids at camp with life-threatening allergies. Each day at check-in, our staff will ask if there are any nuts in your kid’s lunch or snack. If there are, you will be asked to take the food items with you and return with a non-nut option for your kid to eat.
Please bring any medication your kid needs to take during the day on the first day of camp and make sure it is clearly labeled with their name and a picture of them. When you arrive at camp, you will be asked to place the clearly labeled medication in a designated storage container. An EDMO staff member will administer the medication as prescribed.
During registration, you will fill out a health information section to outline all allergies so your kid’s camp leader is aware of any allergies before the start of camp. Please bring any medication your kid needs for allergies on the first day of camp and make sure it is clearly labeled with their name and a picture of them. When you arrive at camp, you will be asked to place the clearly labeled medication in a designated storage container. At EDMO, we have a very strict NO NUTS policy and we do everything in our power to keep kids safe from common allergens, but please make sure your kid is very aware of their allergies and remind them to never share food.
You can include a note for staff about your kid during the registration process. Simply put any information you would like them to know in the “Other Requests” section and they will get the information.
Technology needs for on-site camps will vary by program. Kids who are not participating in a technology-based program will not need to bring any technology to camp. For kids attending technology-based on-site camps, you will find the list of all technology needed to participate in camp activities listed on the specific theme page and in your confirmation email.
Each day at check-in, before the person dropping off your kid leaves, our EDMO staff member will run through a checklist to make sure each kid has everything they need for camp. If it is discovered that your kid has forgotten their device or charger, we will ask that the person dropping off your kid returns home to get the required supplies and bring them back to camp.
If our EDMO staff is unable to log into your kid’s device or if parental controls block access to the internet or downloads, we will reach out by phone for your support. The best option is to make sure you disable all parental controls or passwords for connecting to wifi before camp.
If your kid’s device runs into crashing issues during camp, our EDMO staff will have alternate activities they can work on while the issue is fixed.
