Krista graduated form UC Santa Cruz with a BA in Sociology and an Education Minor. During her time in college, she focused on how to apply educational methods to community engagement and nonprofit work. Since graduating, Krista has worked inside the classroom as a Special Education Para-educator and as an Artist in Residence teaching ceramics. While volunteering, she has mentored tutored high school students pursuing higher education and tutored at all age levels. She believes it is critical to connect academic learning to practical applications, whether it's for skills development or one's personal growth. As a self proclaimed life long learner, she does her best to learn a bit of everything and hopes to encourage a similar curiosity. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering, up-cycling furniture, making pottery, collecting cameras, and traveling. Her most recent projects include learning German, sculpting, reviewing music theory, and reading about moral philosophy.
