Donna who uses the name Meke'da is excited to be joining EDMO for her first year as an Instructor! For the past three years, Donna has worked as an Independent contractor with many schools in the Northern California area, summer camps, and after-school programs teaching, art, science, and makers club robotic building, both in classroom and virtually. Originally from Southern California where she has also taught art and poetry workshops for many years bringing her skills and talents to the bay area has been both enjoyable and rewarding. Donna(Meke'da), studied photography/graphics and sculpture new genres, at El Camino College in Torrance, Ca, and Otis College of Art and Design, in Westchester, CA. Donna (Meke'da) is a working artist and has exhibited at Inglewood Art Walk, Inglewood Ca, Richmond Art Center Gallery, Abrams Claghorn, Gallery, Albany Ca, June Steinhardt Gallery, at Laney College, Oak Stop Gallery, Village Theatre & Art Gallery in Danville Ca. and San Francisco African American Historical & Cultural Society. Donna (Meke'da) Has developed her own curriculum called Peace Bots that incorporates the idea of repurpose recycle and reuse. She enjoys teaching students of all ages on how to create art in this way, and is excited to continue inspiring others in art. She has one son, whom is a professional trombonist.
