Culinary Chemistry (B)
Get ready for a week filled with culinary experiences! Kids will be learning about the chemistry behind some of their favorite recipes, such as thickeners for chia pudding, freezing points for homemade ice cream, and the denaturing of proteins in meringues. They will learn how recipes come together into a final product by understanding the series of chemical reactions that occur during the cooking process. While also producing amazing dishes, kids will learn how to problem solve and practice responsibility during their cooking sessions, and they'll collaborate virtually with their fellow chefs to share in the taste testing!
