In Minecraft, the way a player looks is referred to as their “skin.” In this session, you'll learn how to use a free, browser-based editor to create and customize a skin of your own design. You can become a brave dragon slayer, a friendly pirate, your favorite book character, or anything else your imagination supplies. Then collaborate with other kids on ideas and share your designs with each other. You won’t be able to disguise the fun we'll have in this class!
Not only will kids in this class practice fundamental computer skills such as mouse manipulation, keyboard shortcuts, and 3D spatial reasoning, but also engage in Social Emotional Learning activities centering on respect, empathy, collaboration, and digital etiquette.
Online Camps are 2.5 hour (half day) programming in the style of EDMO Summer Camps, featuring extra movement activities, social emotional learning curriculum and weekly rallies with a fun-filled pie extravaganza!
