Monique is excited to be the new Customer Relationship Specialist, and looks forward to helping parents, children and colleagues leave every interaction feeling better than when they arrived. Her mission in life is to guide communication between individuals and their highest selves. She models this through her continuous pursuit of holistic wellness, trauma-informed healing, and ability to cultivate authentic relationships grounded in joy, respect and loads of fun. A lifelong writer, she moved to the Bay Area in 2015 to finish obtaining her B.A. in English Literature from UC Berkeley. After a decade of working in hospitality and helping build small businesses, Monique is pleased to have entered the nonprofit world with EDMO. She is continually inspired by EDMO’s social-emotional learning tools that value individual learning styles and help children and adults become more compassionate and curious humans. In her free time, you can catch her posting stories and recipes to her blog, adventuring outdoors, studying to become a yoga teacher, practicing mindfulness meditation, watching too much 90 Day Fiance, and slowing down to savor the present moment, especially when it involves biting into a warm chocolate chip cookie.
