3D Modeling

Would you be surprised to learn that you can design the cars, buildings, or even people that you see in video games and computer animations? Game developers use three-dimensional (3D) modeling software to create all those (3D) objects. EDMO Coaches can teach kids how to use Blender, a free open-source 3D creation program, to start with simple objects like cubes or spheres and then rotate, scale, and add geometry to them as if they're working with clay. Short-term exercises and larger projects can help kids add definition to their objects and better understand game design and video editing. Materials needed: Windows or Mac computer, Blender app
