Meditation and Breath Work

Experience the power of meditation. Practicing daily meditation is shown to help people of all ages improve sleep patterns, reduce depression and anxiety, promote deeper breathing, and increase energy levels. In this session, EDMO Coaches teach kiddos basic techniques for meditation and breath work. A quiet room is recommended for these sessions.

Marissa Espino

Marissa is new to the EDMO family but stoked about being with such a great group of people! She has been working with children for almost 10 years now, both teaching and tutoring. Marissa received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arizona and shortly after decided to become a certified Yoga instructor! She loves to share her passion for Yoga and learning with everyone she meets. Marissa believes that creating a positive environment for youth is the key to a beautiful future for the world.

Julissa Martinez

Julissa Martinez is a recent college graduate from the University of California Merced, where she obtained a bachelors in Psychology and Public Health. She is bilingual; fluent in English and Spanish. The passion to create a space where she can help kids develop and grow to their best of their abilities with surrounding support and an encouraging environment is what strives her to be the best version of herself when working with kids. She has always been learning and working with kids from babysitting family members to volunteering and obtaining jobs focused on kids. Her career goals involve working with kids because she loves the experiences she's had with them; kids uplift and create a fun working environment. She enjoys including mindfulness and problem solving practices in her work. Education is a critical component in a kid's development so when she can do something to provide help or support, she is driven to take on that opportunity to get kids striving in all that they do. We can all strive to be the best version of ourselves.

Jordie Marie Rippon

Jordie Marie Rippon is A graduate student studying Creative Producing and Management at CalArts. She has previously received a Bachelor's of Science in Technology Communication and Theater. She loves to create an environment that makes it fun to learn and loves to encourage and empower kids to think about problems differently as a tool to help solve the problem.

Kailey McFadden

Kailey is so excited to be joining EDMO for her second time. Kailey recently worked at the EDMO summer camp in Sacramento. It was so much fun and the kids were amazing! Kailey graduated from Sacramento State in May 2021 with her Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies and with honors. She is working on getting her teaching credential, so she can teacher future students. She is so excited to bring her knowledge and love for teaching, and to help students in homework, English, Art, Science, Pe/ Yoga and mental health. She can’t wait to meet students and help them succeed!
