Music Theory

Help your budding guitarist, singer, or bassoon player deepen their understanding and passion for music. EDMO Coaches work with students of any age or skill level to study music theory concepts such as rhythm, Western harmonies, major and minor scales, modalities, and music notation. You can ask the Coach to focus on a particular area that intrigues your child, or provide support on the music pieces they're currently working on. Recommended materials: writing utensil and paper

Gavin Wilmoth

Gavin is excited to be joining EDMO for his first year as instructor! For the past two years, Gavin has taught English (literature, writing) and Music (piano, violin, voice, theory and history) online from fourth grade to college level. He is passionate about a liberal arts education including the academics and the arts, and loves working with children across the nation. He graduated from Concordia University Irvine in 2020 where he majored in Humanities- Music Education and also minored in music. He is living in Orange County California going to school as a graduate student majoring in a Master's of Music History and Literature at California State University Fullerton.

Heather Regina Plybon

Heather is elated to be a part of EDMO Coaching for her first year! For the past 15 years, Heather has been a music educator in southwest Missouri. She has taught all aspects of music from general music, band, choir, to music appreciation, plus a few other fun courses. Heather enjoys working with every age, but especially loves the middle school age. She believes that music is the tool that she uses to help her students become the best people they can be. Heather has performed with bands, choirs, and orchestras all over southwest Missouri, performing mainly on Bassoon, but also other woodwinds. She graduated from Evangel University in 2005 with a Music Education degree in both instrumental and vocal music. She is passionate about woodwind instruments but also enjoys teaching brass instruments. Heather is excited to get to help students grow as musicians and people. Heather is the mother of six children, ranging in age from 16-3 months and has a wonderful husband, Keith, who works in corporate security.

Branden Andrade

Branden couldn't be anymore excited to be joining EDMO for his first year as an instructor! Branden is a New York State certified music teacher and has been teaching music in schools all over Long Island and New York City for over 5 years. Branden can lighten up a room with his teaching. Through his energy, passion, and care for his students needs, he develops lessons that caters to every learner and he excels at building a love for any topic he teaches. He received both his bachelor's and master's degree from Five Towns College where he majored in Music Performance and Music Composition. He is incredibly excited to bring his knowledge and love of music to his students! Outside of music, Branden enjoys fitness, martial arts, cooking, and taking care of his two bunnies, Arya, and Simba.

Lotti Ropert

Lotti is thrilled to be joining EDMO for her first year as an Instructor! Lotti is a professional French Horn player with a passion and enthusiasm for teaching. She believes it is her duty to pass on all the knowledge she has been so lucky to learn from all her great teachers and mentors from around the world. Originally from Sydney Australia, Lotti moved to the US to study and has just graduated from a Masters of Music Performance program at the University of Cincinnati CCM. While regularly working as a freelance musician Lotti also has several years experience tutoring music to kids as young as 7. Encouraging them to discover a passion for music and teaching all Brass Instruments, she specializes in French Horn and Trumpet. In her free time Lotti loves to be outdoors hiking, exploring, travelling and doing yoga!
