Now hiring in Salinas

Every job with kids requires experience. Ours gives you some.

Babysat your siblings? Tutored at church? Coached a team? That counts here. EDMO is hiring after-school instructors in Salinas, and we train you on the rest. Start your teaching career now, before the credential.

No formal experience required. No teaching credential needed.

You already have it

You have more experience than you think.

  • Watching your younger brothers and sisters
  • Babysitting
  • Tutoring or homework help
  • Coaching or helping with a team
  • Volunteering at church, camp, or a community program
  • Growing up in an after-school program yourself

If you love being around kids and you show up when you say you will, we want to talk.

The job

Snack. Play. Build something. Repeat.

You lead a group of kids after the school bell rings. Homework help, games outside, and hands-on projects where kids build, test and figure things out together. You're the calm when it gets loud. You're the spark when it gets slow. You're the reason kids can't wait for tomorrow.

What you get

Training. Support. A way up.

We train you.

Paid training before you start, so day one doesn't feel like a guess.

We back you.

Yes, even part-time. Sick and vacation time that grows every week you work. A 401k for future you. And our Apprentice Program, so you keep learning on the job.

We move you up.

Instructor today. Program Assistant or Program Manager next. Move up and the perks grow too: health coverage, paid time off, paid holidays, and a 401k.

Who we are

We're here to raise curious, courageous, and kind humans.

Since 2004, EDMO has run school-year programs and summer camps. We don't just keep kids busy. We grow curious, courageous, and kind humans, and we built a method to do exactly that. The EDMO Method® teaches five skills we call S.P.A.C.E., and it works for both kids and the people who lead them. Kids learn through play. You learn on the job. We hire for it, train on it, and promote for it.
