Summer has a funny way of doing two things at once.
At first, it feels like there's all the time in the world. Endless sunny afternoons. Long weekends. A calendar full of possibility.
Then suddenly it's mid-July, someone is asking for a snack for the seventh time before noon, and you're wondering where all that time went.
That's exactly why we created our FREE Summer STEAM + SEL Bingo Challenge.
A simple way to bring a little of the EDMO experience home this summer Inside the bingo card, you'll find 24 hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity, creativity, problem solving, and connection. Some activities encourage kids to build and experiment. Others invite them to create, collaborate, reflect, or practice kindness. Together, they combine STEAM learning with the EDMO Method® and our SPACE Skills: Self-Awareness, Problem Solving, Advocacy, Collaboration, and Empathy.
But here's the best part: this isn't about creating the perfect summer.
It's about creating moments.
At EDMO, we've spent more than 20 years watching what happens when kids are given opportunities to explore, ask questions, try new things, and learn through experience. Some of the most meaningful learning doesn't happen when kids are told exactly what to do. It happens when they get curious.
“What happens if I build it this way?”

These moments of curiosity are often where confidence begins to grow.

And the good news is that they don't require a classroom, a camp site, or a cart full of supplies from the craft store.
Most activities on the Summer Bingo can be completed using materials you already have around the house. A few household items, a little imagination, and a willingness to try something new can go a surprisingly long way.
That's because at EDMO, learning has never been just about what kids know. It's also about how they grow.
STEAM helps kids ask questions, test ideas, solve problems, think creatively, and see the world through a lens of curiosity. Social-emotional learning helps them build the skills to understand themselves, navigate challenges, communicate effectively, work with others, and contribute positively to their communities.
We believe these two things are strongest when they happen together.
After all, building a bridge out of craft sticks is exciting. Learning how to collaborate with a teammate when your first design collapses? That's a skill that lasts long after summer ends.
Creating an invention is fun. Having the confidence to share your idea with others takes a different kind of courage.
Solving a challenge feels great. Learning how to persevere when things don't go according to plan can be even more valuable.
That's why every activity in our Summer Bingo is connected to one of EDMO's SPACE Skills: Self-Awareness, Problem Solving, Advocacy, Collaboration, or Empathy.
These aren't skills kids learn once and master forever. They develop through everyday experiences, conversations, challenges, and moments of discovery.
A backyard experiment can become a lesson in perseverance.
A creative project can become an opportunity for self-expression.
A family challenge can spark teamwork and communication.
An act of kindness can strengthen empathy and connection.
Every family will approach the Bingo differently, and that's part of the fun.
There's no right way to play. Whether your kid completes one square, a full row, or proudly conquers the entire board, every activity is an invitation to learn something new, try something different, and stay connected throughout the summer.
Because while summer doesn't last forever, curiosity can. Kindness can. And confidence can.
