Patriot Day & National Day of Service - September 11th Patriot Day and the National Day of Service and Remembrance honor the lives lost on 9/11, as well as the first responders and brave civilians who saved lives that day. While Patriot Day is a day of remembrance, the National Day of Service encourages Americans to honor those affected by engaging in acts of service. Both are observed on September 11th.
